James David “J.D.” Kious is the attorney and president of Lawyers Land & Title Services, LLC and also a partner in the firm of Kious, Rodgers, Barger, Holder & Kious, PLLC. J.D. received his undergraduate degree from Furman University in 2002 and his law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2005. He was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 2005. His areas of practice include commercial and residential real estate closings and transactions; loan transactions; 1031 like-kind exchanges; leases; contracts; wills, trusts and probate estates; and corporate transactions, including partnerships, LLCs, and for profit and not for profit corporations.
J.D. is also a title insurance agent for Fidelity National Title Insurance Company and Stewart Title Guaranty Company. He is very active in the day-to-day operations of Lawyers Land & Title Services to insure that each and every transaction is handled in an efficient and professional manner. If any legal issues arise during the course of a real estate transaction, J.D. and his law partners at Kious, Rodgers, Barger, Holder & Kious, PLLC are always available to assist in anyway needed.
J.D. is a member of the Rutherford County and Tennessee Bar Associations. He is a member and the immediate past president of the board of directors for the Beesley Animal Foundation and a past chair of the board of directors for Journeys in Community Living (formerly the Rutherford County Adult Activity Center), as well as a 2008 graduate of Leadership Rutherford.
